The Idea Behind This Website
This website was conceptualized by Alok Saha, a cricket enthusiast and former player, who is a manufacturer and exporter with experience in the cricket-ball trade.
Through his work with cricket balls, Alok became familiar with the skilled karigars who hand-stitch them. Many of these artisans come from small villages around the towns where cricket balls are produced. Their craftsmanship plays an important role in the industry, yet the value they receive for their work can remain limited.
Alok created this website to tell the artisans’ story and help these artisans connect more directly with buyers and receive better value for their craftsmanship. The idea is simple: a better price for the artisan can mean a better livelihood for the family behind every ball.
